Delete your Aigaku account

Aigaku — Japanese kana learning app by Comdroid Studio

Option 1 — Delete it yourself in the app

  1. Open Aigaku on your phone
  2. Go to the Profile tab (bottom right)
  3. Tap Delete account
  4. Read the warning, then confirm with Yes, delete my account

Deletion happens immediately. It cannot be undone, and we cannot restore it for you.

Option 2 — Ask us to delete it

Email comdroidstudio@gmail.com from the email address you signed in with, with the subject "Delete my Aigaku account". We use the sending address to confirm the request is really yours. We action requests within 30 days.

What gets deleted

  • Your account (name, email address, profile picture, and account ID)
  • Your learning progress stored in your account — per-character statistics, review schedule, XP, level, rank, daily streak and favourites
  • The copy of that progress stored on the phone you delete from

Nothing is kept in a form that identifies you, and no backup of your account is retained.

What is not deleted

  • Progress saved on other devices. If you also used Aigaku on another phone, the copy on that phone stays there until you uninstall the app or clear its storage.
  • Anonymous crash and usage records already collected by Google Firebase. These are not linked to your name or email, are retained under Google's standard periods (up to 90 days for crash records and up to 14 months for usage records), and are never used to identify you.

Just want to remove your progress?

You do not have to delete your whole account. In the app, Profile → Reset progress erases your learning data on the device and in your account while keeping the account itself. That action is also permanent.
